Why does a guinea pig bite?
Often, an animal shows aggression for one of the most obvious reasons. If a guinea pig does not feel safe, it will bite.
These rodents love to eat, they develop their own eating habits and often have a favorite dish. Therefore, if the animal is hungry, it can bite you or another guinea pig because of this.
Sometimes a guinea pig bites accidentally. For example, if it smells food on your hands.
This behavior also makes one want to grind down their teeth: by the way, rodents’ teeth grow throughout their entire lives.
And finally, the animal may get sick and suffer from pain. If the rodent bites constantly and without reason, then you should show it to the vet.
