Chinchilla owners often put their adorable pets at risk by feeding them the wrong food.
Everyone wants their cute chinchilla to grow up beautiful and healthy, and to do this, they need to follow the rules of care, including feeding.
How to feed a chinchilla correctly
The small animal can be given food starting from 2 weeks, but supplemented with milk.
Hay must be included in the daily diet of a grown chinchilla. A small bunch, which must be renewed daily, is enough.
What you shouldn't give to chinchillas
The pet is prohibited from wet food. Do not try to feed the chinchilla fruits or grass, otherwise you will harm it.
To feed your pet, you should use only specialized feeds. Choose a balanced composition and a ready-to-eat product.
Chinchillas are generally not recommended to be given fatty treats, including peanuts and almonds.
Introduce treats gradually, without trying to find something new for your chinchilla all the time.
