Quite often our pets suffer from problems similar to those in humans.

For example, you suddenly notice that your pet has broken a tooth and don’t know what to do with it.

Let's figure out what to do in such cases.

First of all, if we are talking about a kitten under 5 months old, then there is no need to panic, since we are talking about baby teeth.

But when an adult cat loses a tooth, you should be wary. If the tooth has fallen out completely, then you need to contact a veterinarian.

If the cat has actually chipped off a piece of a tooth, then it is worth examining it first. If the damage is minor and does not bother the animal, then it can live with the chip.

If you notice blood at the site of the injury, this means that the cat has damaged the dental pulp. And this condition is already more dangerous, since an infection can get into the wound.

In this case, a visit to the veterinarian cannot be postponed, since you will not be able to cope with such a problem at home.

After visiting the vet and carrying out the necessary procedures, it is important to put the cat on a diet that excludes dry food. It is also important to ensure that the animal does not chew anything, otherwise re-injury cannot be avoided.
