A dog is an animal that needs fairly frequent water treatments.
However, there are some nuances that should be taken into account before bathing an animal.
Bathing mode
You need to wash your dog regularly, especially during the warm season.
However, in winter, the dog should be bathed no more than once a month. This is because the protective fat layer is completely restored within a month, and it is this that protects the animal from the cold.
At the same time, on particularly frosty days it is recommended to avoid bathing altogether. On such days, the dog's immunity is significantly reduced, and the risk of catching a cold increases many times over.
How to wash a dog
There are several rules that you need to follow when washing your animal:
- do not use water temperature higher than the dog's body temperature;
- Use shampoo based on your pet's coat type;
- do not use a hair dryer: it is better to dry the dog with a terry towel;
- Bathe your dog after a walk, not before, so that the animal has time to dry thoroughly.
