Zoopsychologists conducted an interesting study and explained what kind of connection exists between cats and their owners.
American experts have found that these pets have at least two basic behavior patterns.
About 60% exhibit a "safe" behavior pattern, according to a study published in the journal Current Biology .
This means that when the owners are not at home, the animals experience a slight nostalgia, but at the same time maintain a balance between the desire to explore the world around them and the desire to communicate.
They are left alone without much fear and easily adapt to changes in the environment.
The remaining 40% demonstrated a “dangerous” pattern of behavior.
This part showed great concern when the owners were not around.
In such cases, cats are restless and nervous.
Even after their owners return, they do not calm down right away. Some deliberately avoid communication, while others, on the contrary, actively seek contact.
Zoopsychologists noted that such behavior patterns are typical for small children.
This indicates that cats are capable of developing their social skills.
It is safe to say that almost half of cats look at their owners almost as “parents”.
