The most popular breeds of recent years
Nowadays, a dog, at least in the city, practically no longer plays the role of a protector of a person or his property.
Therefore, most often Russians give their preference to the German Spitz, which for the past several years has occupied the leading line in the rating compiled by the Russian Cynological Association.
The next most popular is the Chihuahua, followed by the British Queen's favorite, the Welsh Corgi.
German Shepherds are also popular among Russian citizens. The Yorkshire Terrier rounds out the top 5.
