Cats, even long-haired ones, can get cold in an apartment from time to time.
There are several telltale signs that your pet is experiencing discomfort due to the temperature in the house.
How to understand that your pet is freezing
The body temperature of cats fluctuates between 38 and 38.2 degrees, therefore, they are more sensitive to temperature changes in the apartment.
The first sign of discomfort is trembling. It is difficult to miss, since cats do not tremble when at rest.
The second sign is the desire to sleep on the radiator. The surface of the radiator may seem hot to us, but if the cat does not want to sleep anywhere else except on it, it means that it is cold.
You should also be wary if the animal has never previously sought to snuggle under the blanket, but now seeks to spend time there as often as possible.
You should be wary if your pet has a dry nose: this sign often indicates a fever.
