Cats are quite timid animals, and therefore any change in environment causes them serious stress.
However, there are often cases when there is no one to leave your pet with, and then you have to take it with you on the flight.
Let's figure out what a cat owner needs to take into account.
How to transport cats on a plane
Let's start with the fact that all airlines have different requirements for transporting pets. Most often, a limited number of seats for pets are allocated per flight, so it is recommended to find out about their number in advance.
Secondly, the animal will need appropriate accompaniment. You should have on hand:
- veterinary passport;
- State-issued certificate No. 1, which will be issued to you at a veterinary clinic (contains information about vaccinations);
- chip (for flights abroad).
No later than one month before departure, the animal must be vaccinated against rabies.
Animals can only be transported in special carriers, which cannot be opened during the flight: this can result in a fine.
