It is noted that it is important for the owner to work on the animal's neutral behavior. To do this, you do not need to allow the pet to jump on guests or bark angrily at them.
It is also important to warn guests about some things. For example, ask them not to react to the dog's excitement, not to pet the pet, and not to allow it to ruin clothes.
According to Golubev, the dog needs to be taught the commands "Sit!" or "Lie down!" Thanks to this, the pet's excitement at the sight of guests will decrease.
He noted that if there is a fear of people, the dog should be allowed to hide in a quiet place. In this case, you should ask guests not to pick up the dog or pay attention to it.
Also, you should not allow your pet to jump on the table during the holidays, otherwise it will become a habit, and it will be difficult to wean the animal.
Golubev added that dogs are afraid of drunk people because they are unpredictable for them. Taking this into account, it is better to protect your pet from communicating with such guests.
