Young respondents consider a person driven by kindness to be a hero

Just recently, sociologists conducted a survey aimed at identifying the hero of modern youth.

Heroes for young people are people who are driven by compassion and kindness. Details are reported by TASS with reference to the Department of Scientific Communications of the Ural Federal University, the head of the study Natalia Antonova.

It is noted that 641 people aged 18 to 30 years participated in the survey.

The survey showed that young people need participation and support. For them, a hero is an ordinary person (59% of respondents think so), who shows sympathy and kindness (50%), is close to us (36%) and does not crave recognition (36%) and gratitude (50%) in return.

According to Antonova, a hero for young people can be a person who demonstrates responsibility and adherence to social norms in everyday life.

She added that most of the people surveyed considered donors and volunteers heroes. Relatives were also on the list of heroes.
