Starting in October 2024, several important laws will come into force in Russia that will affect military pensions and civil servants' salaries.
State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin told in a Telegram channel which laws will come into force in October.
Pensions for military personnel
From October 1, military pensions will be indexed by 5.1 percent.
This measure will affect about 2.8 million people, which will improve the financial situation of military pensioners.
Salaries of civil servants
Also, starting in October, salaries of employees of federal government agencies will be increased by 5.1 percent.
This increase is aimed at improving working conditions and increasing the motivation of government employees.
Payment agencies
Another important innovation will concern control over the activities of payment agents.
Russians use payment agents to pay for utilities, mobile communications and much more.
The new law is aimed at protecting the rights of Russian citizens.
Pirate sites
From October 1, a law on combating "mirrors" of pirate sites will come into effect in Russia. These sites will be promptly identified for appropriate measures to be taken.
