Elena Vyalbe named her version of the return of Russians to international competitions.

The head of the Russian Skiing Federation admitted that the bombing of the British capital would have accelerated this process.

In a conversation with NEWS.ru, Vyalbe noted that Russia has been in confrontation with the outside world for centuries.

Sometimes this happens openly, and in some periods the enemies pretend to love Russia, but “they always stand with a sharpened weapon behind their backs.”

She stressed that she wants to see her country strong, although this “irritates the whole world.”

Vyalbe admitted that Russian athletes will not return to international competitions as soon as they would like.

“It seems to me that if we had thrown some serious bomb into the center of London, everything would have been over by now, they would have let us in everywhere,” said the three-time Olympic champion.

The Honored Trainer of the Russian Federation noted that even after the completion of the SVO, the return of Russians to competitions will take more than a year.

For more than two years now, Russian athletes have not been able to fully participate in international competitions. They even took part in the Olympics partially and with the fulfillment of a number of requirements.
