Elena Vyalbe commented on her statement about the “bombing of London”.
The President of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation admitted that she should not have said such a thing.
Vyalbe spoke about this topic in an interview with the Moscow 24 TV channel.
The three-time Olympic champion stressed that she does not intend to justify her words.
“But since I don’t have the opportunity to drop the bomb, there was no need to say anything,” Vyalbe said.
She spoke about the “bombing of London” in the context of the measures taken by European sports officials and politicians in the context of the CBO.
Russian skiers have lost the opportunity to compete in international competitions.
Vyalbe suggested that after the attack on the British capital, athletes from the Russian Federation will be allowed to participate in tournaments again.
