VkusVill Comments on Marshmallow Poisoning Reports
The VkusVill store commented on reports of mass poisoning by marshmallows.
The company denied information about poisonings, which is not true.
VkusVill closely monitors all requests and especially mass complaints.
A message on the company's Telegram channel indicated that over the past four months, the share of complaints about marshmallows has been less than 0.3% of the total.
The company also reported that the marshmallows had passed routine laboratory tests and would be sent for unscheduled testing.
Until the results of the analysis are received, VkusVill has decided to suspend sales of marshmallows with the sugar substitute maltitol.
Earlier on Saturday, information about marshmallow poisoning began to spread on social networks.
Hundreds of customers have complained of poisoning from marshmallows from the VkusVill store.
The victims reported that after eating the dessert they experienced stomach pain, diarrhea and nausea.
