The head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center warned Russians that December will be full of surprises.
According to weather forecasters, the Northwestern and Central Federal Districts will soon be hit by abnormal frosts.
Roman Vilfand spoke about this in an interview with the Interfax portal.
According to the expert, the cold snap will last from December 18 to 20, with thermometer readings in some regions dropping to -30 degrees.
It is noted that such low temperatures are not usually typical for this period. For example, Arkhangelsk Region will be covered by frosts of 6-12 degrees below normal with frosts down to -25 degrees.
