It has become known what kind of weather is expected in early September.
The first month of autumn promises to be as warm as it hasn't been for a long time.
This information was shared by the scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, RIA Novosti reports.
As the expert noted, the average monthly temperature in September is expected to be an order of magnitude higher than the average long-term observations.
Vilfand noted that above-average temperatures can be expected in the following regions of Russia:
In the Pskov, Volgograd and Astrakhan regions, as well as the southern half of the Central Federal District and the southern part of the Volga Federal District, significantly less precipitation is expected than should be normal.
In the rest of the Russian Federation, precipitation will be as much as the September norm.
Muscovites will also be happy about the beginning of September: thanks to the hot weather, the swimming season has been restored for a short time. Now the water in the Moscow River warms up to 20-22 degrees Celsius.
