The Ministry of Internal Affairs has listed two mandatory marks for Russians that must be present when applying for a passport.

When replacing or issuing a passport, it must contain two mandatory marks.

The first mark contains information about registration at the place of residence or deregistration of a Russian citizen. The second includes data on military duty for men subject to military registration.

The press service of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported on its Telegram channel: “The marks are made by employees who process passports.”

In addition to the required entries, you can add other information if you wish.

The passport may contain information about marriage, children under 14, as well as previous passports or foreign certificates. It is also possible to enter data about the blood type or TIN.

Any marks in the passport must be placed only by official bodies.

Entering entries by hand will invalidate the passport.
