The State Duma urged not to close basement vents for cats in hot weather

It is important for management companies to leave vents in the basements of residential buildings open. Details are reported by TASS with reference to the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Vladimir Burmatov.
It is noted that not all companies want to comply with this regulation.
According to Burmatov, open vents are important for cats because they give them a place to hide from the heat. In addition, cats help in the fight against rodents.
He noted that in the case of closed vents, those wishing to do so can report this to the state housing inspectorate.
It is also important to provide animals with water. It should be intended for drinking.
Burmatov clarified that water can be left near entrances and in other places where animals are present.
It is added that walking with animals is not recommended between 12:00 and 16:00, when the sun is scorching outside.
