The State Duma Committee on Information Policy supported the ban on calls from unknown numbers in messengers.
It is emphasized that the State Duma approved the corresponding amendment to the bill.
The head of the State Duma committee, Alexander Khinshtein, personally spoke out on this issue, as reported by RIA Novosti .
Khinshtein, in particular, emphasized: “These requirements for messengers have been officially signed and thus approved.”
According to the above-mentioned bill, messengers are now obliged to “provide information about their users upon request from the state.”
As for the ban on receiving calls and messages from unknown numbers, it is introduced “by default”.
It was previously reported that fraudsters are constantly improving their criminal schemes in order to extort other people's money.
It was noted that most often scammers use mobile communications or calls via messengers in their activities.
