The State Duma has proposed 10 “immediate” measures for migrants
Deputies of the lower house of the Russian parliament have decided to take on the “migrant issue” more thoroughly.
The State Duma has prepared a new project that includes ten “immediate” measures for migrants.
The authors of the document were members of the control committee and vice-speaker Irina Yarovaya. The project was posted on the website of the Duma electronic database.
Thus, parliamentarians proposed to work on the issue of fixing the levels of knowledge of the Russian language. A minimum level of knowledge of the language will be fixed for each type of work.
In addition, the Russian Federation wants to introduce an oral part of the Russian language exam for migrants who are applying for a patent to work in areas where language proficiency is important.
Currently, such a test is not provided for those who intend to obtain a patent for work.
It was also proposed to take countermeasures against commercial firms that are intermediaries in the administration of exams.
All costs for conducting the exam should be included in its cost, the Duma believes.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers should instruct Rosobrnadzor to regularly update examination materials.
