The State Duma has come out in favor of banning Turkish TV series in Russia
Vitaly Milonov criticized the performance of Turkish actors and the scripts of TV series.
The deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood believes that Russian viewers should avoid watching Turkish film projects.
In an interview with the radio station “ Moscow Speaks ,” Milonov stated that he is in favor of banning Turkish films and TV series in the Russian Federation.
The parliamentarian called popular film projects in Russia “complete nonsense” that gives viewers a distorted idea of life in Turkey.
"All these Natasha eaters... These kebab sellers who suddenly decided that they are good actors. There is not a single sensible actor in Turkey, they are all absolutely talentless, cheap buffoons," said a member of the lower house of parliament.

Milonova is concerned that such films create unrealistic images of Turks in Russian women.
