Residents of the Amur region were faced with smoke caused by the neighboring country.
Forest fires engulfing China have created a thick smoke screen in the Amur region.
This information was shared by the RIA Novosti agency with reference to information provided by the Ministry of Forestry and Fire Safety of the Amur Region.
It is noted that as of October 29, 200 hot spots have been recorded in China. Some of them are located close to Russian territory.
The nearest one is located 4 kilometers from the border of Svobodnensky district, another one is located 30 kilometers from the regional capital.

The spread of smoke and the smell of burning is facilitated by the south wind direction. Forecasters predict that by Wednesday the direction will change and the smoke will disappear.
