The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to tighten the conditions for the deportation of migrants.
The department has developed a corresponding draft law. It is proposed to add another 20 articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses to the list of offenses for which foreigners can be expelled from the Russian Federation.
This was reported on Monday, July 8, on the website of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The main part of the proposed articles is aimed at protecting public order and safety.
The list also includes articles aimed at combating extremist manifestations.
The department emphasized that Russia already has mechanisms in place that allow it to take measures to expel foreigners involved in crimes.
However, the existing additional procedures do not allow the decision to be implemented promptly.
The bill proposes changes that will reduce the period from the arrest of an offender to his deportation from the country.
Earlier it was reported that foreigners began to fail the Russian language exam en masse.
