The Ministry of Internal Affairs sent a request to military registration and enlistment offices regarding naturalized citizens.

The department wants to know how many people who acquired Russian citizenship never registered for military service.

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, wrote about this on her Telegram channel.

It is noted that these measures are being taken within the framework of the amendment adopted on August 8, 2024, concerning the legislation on acquired citizenship.

The document provides for the termination of acquired Russian citizenship in the event that a person has ignored registration with the military registration and enlistment office.
