The Ministry of Internal Affairs has come up with a proposal concerning foreigners.

The agency wants to limit the ability of those people who have been subject to the deportation regime to obtain a driver's license.

The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, wrote about the corresponding proposal prepared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in her Telegram channel.

According to Volk's publication, restrictive measures may be applied to foreign citizens who are subject to the expulsion regime.

The expulsion regime is a new legislation that concerns foreign citizens who are in Russia without a reason to do so.

Citizens subject to expulsion will be included in a special regime. They will be required to leave Russia or obtain grounds for remaining in the country.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs proposes not to allow such categories of foreigners to take driving tests, and not to issue them driver's licenses.

It is noted that if the project is approved, it will come into force in February next year.
