The mayor of Krasnodar came to see residents protesting against power outages

Evgeny Naumov took control of the situation with power and water outages in Krasnodar amid the heat.

On July 20, the mayor visited the city residents who had taken to the streets to demand that electricity and water supply to their apartments be restored. The mayor spoke about the situation on his Telegram channel.

Naumov reported that the water supply to houses on Kraeveda Solovyova, 6 and Kruzenshterna, 6 streets was disconnected on July 19 due to an accident on the power grid.

The mayor said that he had arrived to support the citizens and personally look into the situation. He said that he would not leave until the electricity was restored to the people.

Naumov also said that technical and drinking water has been delivered to houses that were left without water supply.

The mayor added that at this stage, repair and restoration work is underway, and at the same time, workers are laying a new electrical cable.

Krasnodar is experiencing record heat. On July 19, it was +39°C, which is 1.6 degrees higher than in 1968.
