The Minister of Health of Primorsky Krai, Yevgeny Shestopalov, called for more active childbearing.

He suggested that Russians “make children” during breaks between jobs.

Shestopalov spoke about this in an interview with FederalPress during the Eastern Economic Forum.

According to the minister, Russians should have more children.

It is necessary to give birth to children and raise them, not just give birth, said Evgeny Shestopalov.

If you are busy at work, he says, you should have children “in between jobs.”

The minister believes that high employment rates should not be used as an excuse for low birth rates.

Shestopalov believes that women can take their children to work if they have no one to leave them with at home.

A previous study found that the plans of 60.2% of Russians who planned to have children before 2022 have not changed.

However, 21% of survey participants reported a decision to postpone plans to have a child.
