State Duma: Rules for installing cameras on roads to change from September 1

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Transport Pavel Fedyaev said that some rules in the country will change from September 1.

Thus, the order of installing cameras on the roads will mainly change.

Fedyaev noted: “Unified rules for installing photo and video recording systems to record traffic violations will come into force,” as reported by RIA Novosti .

It is emphasized that this refers, in particular, to Federal Law No. 197.

In addition, the deputy emphasized that from now on regional authorities may be responsible for decisions on installing traffic police cameras.

These persons include road owners. In this case, the relevant decisions must be agreed with the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.

It is emphasized that we are talking about a law regarding the rules for the placement of traffic cameras, which was adopted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

It is reported that the installation of stationary road cameras is permitted on various roads.
