Rosstandart has approved changes to the GOST concerning the work of security guards in schools and kindergartens.

Now school security guards will be required to carry rubber truncheons and handcuffs, Izvestia writes.

Under the new rules, security guards will have to undergo training in emergency response.

In the event of a sharp change in the crime situation in the region, security guards will be required to use enhanced security measures.

In such cases, they will have to wear bulletproof vests, have armored helmets, and carry a service smoothbore weapon with a license.

New GOST requirements will become mandatory for government organizations hiring private security companies through government procurement.
