Russians were told what other methods dishonest people resort to.

Fraudsters have begun sending fictitious documents to Russian residents under the guise of housing and communal services receipts.

As specified in the publication " Izvestia ", payment on such receipts can result in much more serious problems than the loss of funds. For example, cases of loss of access to the banking application and "Gosuslugi" are recorded.

The scheme looks like this: The victim receives a receipt and pays the amount indicated there, and after some time the real receipt arrives.

There are also frequent cases when fraudsters steal real housing and communal services documents. And then a person learns about the fact of fraud only after receiving a debt receipt from the management company.

QR codes on receipt forms may contain a link that, when clicked, will cause the victim to download malware onto their device. This, in turn, threatens the loss of all funds in the account.

It is specified that the fraudulent scheme is widely used in the Moscow region and is also recorded in other regions of the Russian Federation.
