It has become known what demands the Russian-speaking community in Finland has made.
The diaspora demands clear explanations from the government regarding the opening of the border with the Russian Federation.
The organization Aleksanterinliitto sent a corresponding letter to the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the text of which was published on the official website of the “Aleksandrov Society”.
Representatives of Aleksanterinliitto have approached the Finnish authorities with a proposal to clarify the situation that has developed in the country.
In particular, the Russian diaspora living in Finland is asking for a list of criteria that must be met to open the border.
Russian-speaking citizens of Finland also ask for a plan to prepare government agencies for the practical application of the law on expulsion.
The issue of this law was raised in connection with the fact that earlier Finnish officials linked the closure of borders with the influx of illegal immigrants. The adoption of the bill on deportation would help the country cope with this problem.
As noted in the letter, neither the government nor the Ministry of Internal Affairs can yet give exact dates for when the checkpoints will be opened.
