On Sunday, October 27, it became known that highly pathogenic avian influenza was discovered at the Pionerskoye poultry farm.

Thus, a state of emergency was introduced in the territory of the Yelizavetinsky district and the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky urban district.
The measure is aimed at preventing the spread of the virus. Highly pathogenic bird flu is dangerous for humans.
The Pionerskoye factory has been operating for over 60 years and is considered the largest enterprise of its kind in the region.
The number of chickens here is estimated at 200 thousand. The factory produces eggs, poultry meat, and semi-finished products.
For example, egg production reaches 50 million pieces per year.
