Russian Emergencies Ministry to send two helicopters to train accident site near Volgograd

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that special equipment will be sent to the site of the passenger train derailment in the Volgograd Region.

In particular, we are talking about two Mi-8 rescue helicopters.

The press service of the above-mentioned department noted: “The helicopters are already preparing for takeoff,” as reported by RIA Novosti .

It is emphasized that employees of authorized services are monitoring the situation in the context of the above-described accident.

Train derailment

Information about the train derailment was received by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Volgograd Region today, July 29.

It is emphasized that the train was moving in accordance with the Kazan-Adler route.

As of today, information regarding possible victims of the disaster is being clarified.

According to preliminary information, eight carriages were derailed.

The incident occurred four kilometers from the Kotelnikovo railway station.
