Russia Wants to Ban People with Sexual Behavior Disorders from Driving

The Russian Ministry of Health proposes for approval a new list of medical contraindications to driving a car.
The list includes disorders of sexual preference and gender identity disorders.
This draft government order is posted on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts .
The list includes 10 names of disease groups.
These include symptomatic mental disorders, schizophrenia, mood disorders, mental retardation, mental and behavioral disorders, etc.
In addition, the list includes personality and behavioral disorders in adulthood, which include fetishism, exhibitionism, voyeurism, and pedophilia.
Once this document is signed, it could come into force on September 1, 2025.
