Rospotrebnadzor warns about fake letters allegedly from its name
Rospotrebnadzor has issued a warning to Russian citizens.
The agency warned about the increased activity of scammers sending fake letters in its name.
Rospotrebnadzor posted this warning on its official Telegram channel, addressing heads of enterprises, private entrepreneurs and business representatives.
As the department learned, the matter concerns information letters allegedly from Rospotrebnadzor. The documents call on citizens to assist Rospotrebnadzor in organizing telephone conversations with the personnel of enterprises.
As follows from the text of one of the fake letters presented in the messenger, such actions are allegedly intended to raise citizens' awareness of the protection of confidential data and ensure its protection.
At the same time, Rospotrebnadzor does not send out such letters and called them falsified. The agency called for vigilance in relation to them and ignoring incoming documents.
