Roskachestvo has released information that it has managed to identify more than 400 dietary supplements with prohibited substances on marketplaces.
It is emphasized that we are talking about substances that have a narcotic or intoxicating effect on a person.
Roskachestvo points out: “Other violations were also found. Thus, some dietary supplements did not undergo state registration,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
It is explained that the sale of narcotic substances in Russia is punishable by Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The article provides for criminal liability for the illegal circulation of potent or poisonous drugs.
It is reported that violations were identified in certain categories of goods.
These categories include products labeled “Food supplements”, “Sports nutrition”, “Therapeutic nutrition” and “Food plant extract”.
In addition, products in the categories “Fat Burner” and “Pre-Workout Complex” were sold illegally.
