Roskachestvo found dangerous substances in pillows made in Russia: almost all failed the test
Roskachestvo experts tested pillows that are produced in factories in the Russian Federation.
The products have caused criticism from experts.
The results of the inspection are reported on the Roskachestvo website.
Experts examined products with down and feather filling from 15 brands. Twelve of them do not meet GOST requirements.
Firstly, dust and dust mites were found in them.
Secondly, some pillows have proven to be dangerous for the skin due to possible allergic effects. Such consequences can be observed especially after the product gets wet.
In addition, six brands violated technical regulations regarding acetaldehyde content.
Only one brand was able to confirm compliance with the declared composition of the filler.
The results of the study did not allow us to identify candidates for receiving the domestic “Quality Mark”.
Moreover, 14 out of 15 products examined do not comply with mandatory legal requirements, Roskachestvo stated.
