Rosgvardia proposed issuing machine guns and assault rifles to Central Bank employees

Bank of Russia employees may be granted the right to carry service weapons.

The Russian National Guard has put forward such a proposal. The agency has prepared a corresponding draft law.

The Russian National Guard has proposed issuing weapons to a number of Central Bank employees. The document was published on the website of draft regulatory legal acts.

The list includes the entire management of the regulator, except for Elvira Nabiullina. The right to carry weapons can be obtained by her deputies and advisers, as well as department directors and their deputies.

The project also specifies a list of weapons that employees of the Bank of Russia may receive.

Among them, for example, are Makarov and Yarygin pistols, Glock, as well as submachine guns Kedr, Vityaz, and Kiparis.

A whole range of Kalashnikov assault rifles is envisaged (AK-74, AKMS, AK-103, AK-205, etc.). Kalashnikov machine guns are also included in the list.

The Central Bank's management may receive pistols and submachine guns, while the subdivisions responsible for cash collection, weapons circulation, and security of the Central Bank's facilities may receive automatic weapons and machine guns.
