The head of the Central Election Commission spoke about the obstacles that the agency encountered during the election campaign.

According to Ella Pamfilova, mass spam attacks with messages came from abroad.

The Chairperson of the Central Election Commission made this statement while presenting a report on the readiness of election committees to hold elections on the Single Voting Day, RIA Novosti reports.

According to her, at one point during the election campaign, the election commissions were bombarded with a flood of monotonous messages. It turned out that they all came from abroad.

And during the presidential elections, phone calls were often made, and fake news appeared constantly.

It got to the point where supposedly official accounts of election commissions began to multiply on social networks. It got to the point where scammers created a fake website of the Republic of Crimea.

The war is going on on all fronts, including the electoral one, Pamfilova emphasized.

At the same time, she noted that Russia already has experience in dealing with fake attacks.
