Nalchik to host beauty contest among girls in wheelchairs
In Russia, much attention is paid to the socialization of people with disabilities.
The competition for girls in wheelchairs is a shining example of this.
A beauty and talent contest for girls in wheelchairs, "Conquerors of the Peaks," will be held in Nalchik. TASS reports details, citing the chairperson of the organizing committee, Asya Shidova.
It is noted that the competition will begin on August 9 and end on August 15. Its participants will be representatives of Russian regions.
According to Shidova, this is not the first time this competition has been held. Compared to 2023, in 2024 the number of participants in the final has increased from 7 to 17.
She also noted that such an event can help people with disabilities in socialization and address the problems of people in wheelchairs.
It is added that the program will include trainings, seminars, and an excursion. The final of the competition will take place at the Center for Cultural Development.
