Moscow's Zamoskvoretsky Court reported that the military commissar of the Preobrazhensky district of the capital, who was arrested on charges of bribery, was subjected to a search.
During the search, the police found a large sum of money on the defendant.
In particular, the accused was seen owning expensive real estate, as well as storing large amounts of money, including in foreign currency, as reported by TASS .
From the court materials it follows: "The police found expensive movable and immovable property on the defendant. Searches were conducted at the criminal's place of residence."
In addition, the court indicated that the accused holds a foreign passport.
The defendant's lawyer, in turn, noted that the term of the above-mentioned document had expired.
In addition, the lawyer emphasized that his client has no money or property abroad.
The military commissar of the Preobrazhensky district of Moscow is accused of committing a crime under Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of Russia. The article provides for liability for bribes.
