An incident that occurred in Khabarovsk Krai has become known.

Men who failed to register for military service were stripped of their Russian citizenship.

RIA Novosti reports on the measures taken against migrants, citing information provided by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Khabarovsk Krai.

It is noted that three natives of Tajikistan who acquired Russian citizenship in August 2024 were subjected to severe punishment.

In doing so, the men ignored one of the main requirements for people with acquired citizenship. Every migrant is required to register for military service, but the men ignored this requirement.

During a joint operation by the Khabarovsk Krai Commissariat and the Department for Migration Issues of the regional Department of Internal Affairs, a case of evasion of military service was established.

After this, the previously issued passports were confiscated from the migrants and the documents were declared invalid.

All three were ordered to leave the territory of the Russian Federation.
