Lithuanian athlete Kornelija Dudaite was disqualified from the World Championship for wearing an anti-Russian T-shirt.

The athlete was disqualified from competing at the World Functional Fitness Championships.

The athlete wore a T-shirt with the words “Let’s make Russia small again” at the competition, LRT reports.

Russian athlete Karim Yanchinov appealed to the event organizers with a request to respond.

The organizing committee first demanded that Dudaya change her shirt. However, she refused, which led to disqualification.

After Dudaite's suspension, the Lithuanian team refused to continue competing.

At the end of February 2022, the IOC recommended that international sports organizations not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete.

At the end of 2023, the organization allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in the competition, but under a neutral flag.
