Income of former Deputy Defense Minister Bulgakov, arrested in corruption case, revealed
Journalists learned about the income and property of the arrested former Deputy Minister of Defense Dmitry Bulgakov and his wife.
A high-ranking officer was placed under arrest on July 26 in a corruption case.
Journalists have studied the data from Bulgakov's latest public declaration,RIA Novosti reports. In 2018, the official earned 15.2 million rubles.
In 2010, his wife bought a 23-hectare plot of land and a house with an area of over 620 square meters. Bulgakov and his wife also own a 109-meter apartment.
The arrested man’s wife is registered as the owner of three plots of land, a house, and a premium Lexus RX350 crossover, purchased in 2013.
At the same time, Bulgakov's wife's income in 2018 was 226 thousand rubles. She had a similar level of income in the period from 2009 to 2017.
In 2010 alone, she sold the house and land and declared more than 10 million rubles.
Bulgakov served as Deputy Minister of Defense from July 2010 to September 2022. He was relieved of this post due to a transfer to another job.
