The Orenburg Region Ministry of Health reported that a high alert regime had been introduced in regional hospitals.
Unsatisfactory weather conditions are cited as reasons for initiating such measures.
The regional Ministry of Health explained: “Heavy rains are being observed, and an increase in the water level in the Ural River is being recorded,” as reported by TASS .
In addition, it is emphasized that there is a possibility of “water discharge from the Iriklinskoye reservoir.”
It is also indicated that the water inflow into the Iriklinskoye reservoir is estimated at 276 cubic meters per second. At the same time, the discharge is 192 cubic meters per second.
It is also emphasized that the water level in the Ural River, which flows near Orsk, has increased significantly.
Thus, in one day the indicator increased by 12 centimeters and reached 363 centimeters. The unfavorable mark was exceeded by 3 centimeters.
The regional government announced that the relevant situation is under the control of authorized bodies.
