Former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Dmitry Bulgakov Detained
Former Deputy Minister of Defense Dmitry Bulgakov has been detained.
He was placed in pretrial detention on suspicion of corruption.
The official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, reported on the Investigative Committee’s Telegram channel: “A criminal case of a corruption nature is being investigated.”
She explained that a preventive measure was chosen for Dmitry Bulgakov, who held the post of Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation from 2008 to 2022.
He has been taken into custody. Necessary investigative actions are being taken with the defendant to establish the causes of the illegal activity.
Bulgakov was placed in pretrial detention as a suspect in a corruption case.
He was responsible for logistics but was relieved of his post in September 2022.
Former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Bulgakov has been detained and remains in pretrial detention.
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, investigative actions are being carried out with him.
