The Federal Antimonopoly Service has reviewed a complaint about joint advertising by Yandex.Food and Alfa-Bank.
The advertisement was found to be incomplete and therefore inappropriate.
The FAS reported this on its official website .
It is noted that the inspection was initiated at the request of a citizen who filed a complaint against the advertisement in July.
As the man noted, the advertisement contained information that was attractive to people, but was inaccurate.
According to the video, when paying for an order in the Yandex service with Alfa-Bank cards, you could receive a 50% cashback.
However, the fact that the maximum reward amount is only 500 rubles was shown in an explanatory footnote and indicated in a font that is not accessible to human perception.
Because of this, consumers received distorted information about the joint promotion of the two companies.
The advertising was found to be inappropriate, and Yandex.Food and Alfa-Bank will be forced to pay fines for failure to comply with FAS orders.
