Electronic military summons registry launched in Russia
Since November 1, a register of electronic summonses for military conscription has been in effect in Russia.
The registry will allow the autumn draft to be carried out using a new digital resource.
However, the Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrei Kartapolov noted that the old conscription rules are still in effect, writes RBC.
The first stage of the implementation of the Unified Register of Military Registration took place from April 27 to October 31.
During this time, the Ministry of Digital Development created a system and transferred it to the Ministry of Defense.
Now the Ministry of Defense will upload data on conscripts into the registry.
The registry has begun to operate, but its full use is not planned until 2025, writes RBC .
At the first stage, electronic summonses will be tested only in three regions: Ryazan Oblast, the Mari El Republic and Sakhalin.
From November 1, military commissariats will automatically resolve most issues related to military registration.
The register will contain personal data of conscripts. This includes passport data, SNILS and INN.
Information about citizenship, education, employment and health status will also be entered.
The creation of a military registration register is part of the law on electronic summonses.
