The chief cardiologist of the Presidential Property Management Department of the Russian Federation, head of the emergency cardiology department of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Presidential Property Management Department of the Russian Federation, and head of the Russian Antithrombotic Forum said that the human body is affected by several factors.
During a flight, these factors contribute to increased blood clotting and increase the likelihood of blood clots.
Frequent thromboses result in cardiovascular diseases: heart attacks and strokes.
According to statistics, every fourth death in the world is associated with thrombosis.
Doctor Lomakin noted that a significant portion of deaths can be prevented by knowing these risks.
He stressed that the likelihood of blood clots is increased in people with problematic blood vessels, heart disease and oncology.
