Law enforcement officials have revealed new facts from the criminal case of General Timur Ivanov.

It has become known that the former Deputy Minister of Defense caused damage to the state budget in the amount of more than 2.18 billion rubles.

TASS reported this with reference to representatives of law enforcement agencies.

Ivanov's criminal case is related to the construction of cadet corps.

The official received a bribe for making decisions in favor of the company "Olimpsistroy".

This company was involved in the construction of three cadet corps, including in Omsk and Kemerovo.

The total estimated cost of work according to the documents was 14 billion rubles.

Subsequently, an audit was carried out, which revealed uncompleted work amounting to RUB 2,184,000,000.

Investigators claim that Ivanov received a bribe and then allowed Olimpsitistroy to build the buildings, and also increased the cost of each of the facilities by 10% from the upper limit.
